Organization Overview

Located in the vibrant city of San Francisco, the Department of Mathematics at San Francisco State University is searching for the newest member of its faculty in the field of biostatistics. Our department currently has 21 tenured faculty members and 2 tenure-track assistant professors, as well as 15 lecturer colleagues. We house a student body of approximately 90 math majors and 30 statistics majors, together with about 50 graduate students. The department and the Dean of the College of Science & Engineering (who is also a mathematician) are extremely supportive of research. Within the College of Science & Engineering (CoSE), there are many interdisciplinary research projects of high intellectual merit that are awaiting properly integrated biostatistics infrastructure.
